Question: I don’t know how they got there, but I have a lot of toolbars on my computer. How do I get rid of them?
Answer: Whenever you download something online, there is usually a tick box in the fine print that is automatically set to add a toolbar to your browser. Always look at the fine print and untick the box that allows the toolbar to come in with the download. That will help you keep from getting new and unwanted toolbars.
Do the following to disable and remove unwanted toolbars:
If you are using Internet Explorer 8, you click on “tools” in the upper right hand side of the browser. Then hover over “toolbars” and click on the toolbard in the list you want to disable. Once it’s disabled if you want to get rid of it permanently, you go to add/remove programs in the control panel and click on it to remove it.
