There’s been a lot of press lately about how Lenovo shipped some of their computers with a spyware, adware program called Superfish. Sometimes it shows up in add/remove programs and you can uninstall it. I got a Lenovo this morning at my shop that contains Superfish, but in this particular PC it didn’t show in add/remove programs. I found it when I scanned the PC with Hitman Pro. If you don’t want to use Hitman Pro to remove it, Lenovo has an automatic removal tool that you can find at: Lenovo Removal Tool. Lenovo also gives instructions, on their website, on how to manually remove Superfish.
